Ronald and Sharon Rooker opened Gunnery's Irish Pub on the 17th March 2007 (St. Patrick's Day). They have invested a lot of enjoyable time with the help of their wonderful staff, creating a warm and welcoming Irish Pub for both Dutch and Irish alike. “The Irish Pub with the Dutch connection”. As everybody knows, an Irish Pub welcomes everyone who walks through their doors. When you walk into Gunnery’s it's like a home away from home. Everyone’s “Tighlinn” (gaelic for Our Home) in Alkmaar.
Gunnery’s is situated by the Plattestenen Brug (the flat stone bridge), opposite the fish market in the charming North Holland town of Alkmaar. Alkmaar, is renowned as the Cheese Town (Kaas stad) and has an unique old authentic feel about it. The perfect location for an Irish Pub.
